Team TRIMSPA's Ryan Hemphill Fifth Career Pole at Pocono Raceway

LONG POND, PA August 1, 2004 -- Rookie Ryan Hemphill and the TRIMSPA® Dodge® captured Thursday's Pork Pole Award at Pocono Raceway for Saturday's ARCA RE/MAX Series Giant® 200. It was his fifth career pole.    

"The car worked beautifully all the way around the track," said Hemphill. "We weren't as good in practice, so I was a little concerned. But our qualifying run erased all my fears. Just got to hand to all the guys from this Braun Racing team. Once again, they delivered the perfect car."

Hemphill qualified with a speed of 166.190 mph nearly three mph faster than five-time series champion and current point leader Frank Kimmel, who qualified second with a speed of 163.559.

The Giant 200 is scheduled to get underway Saturday at 1 PM Eastern.
